Was the SGTA5 for the navy? As it appears to have a telescoping rotor. I'm thinking that's for stowage and not for flight, but I don't have any details to know for sure. Thanks for posting these, as I'm a fan of gyrocopters.
 
Found in the November 1945 issue of FLYING, a wartime design by the Autogiro Company of America (Pitcairn) that was patented in 1945 (it would have been best in a thread about early Pitcairn designs, but we don't have one so far).

This unknown design followed the side-by-side tandem arrangement of the Foche-Achelis Fa 223, the Platt-Lepage XR-1 and the McDonnell XHJD-1.
