This video *looks* legit, but could always be fake. It appears to show a (Vietnamese? Chinese?) commercial laser system that chops through trees, to be used to trim trees in places that are difficult to reach.

A laser like this would also do wonders to take out Chinese spy balloons, and anybodies bomb-carrying drone (less effective against the little fast racing drones).

I wonder how long before availiable to buy online (I have a few trees needing pruned) :)

Lots of video cuts in that.

Does the cut off pieces look like they have tool marks to anyone else but me?

Saw most of the way through…put an M-80 in it…and low power beam that?

Cut camera off…saw completely different trunk in two—hit it with a torch…insert blue beam in post’

There’s power lines behind the tree’s being cut. That could be really nasty and/or spectacular if the laser had settled on those. Also if this thing is real, what would happen to an airliner down range? Even if the energy attenuates to not puncture the pressure fuselage, it’ll still blind anyone looking down the beam…in another view there’s residential windows, and yet another there’s a second tree which is completely unmarked. Hopefully fake

Most likely fake. Laser could not cut the thick wood such easily. Wood is almost heat non-conductive; and laser is a surface-only tool.
