Hi All -

The recent donation of a personal collection to our Museum yielded this interesting display piece. The donor worked for Army Aviation Command at the end of his career so would hazard to guess this is where it came from. It is roughly the size of a 12 gauge shotgun shell at 4" long and 1" across a face of the "triangle". Note the three projectiles are slightly splayed out and not parallel with the centerline of the round.

Any ideas what this is?

Thanks in advance! Mark

Appears to be somewhat similar in concept to the 'tround' round tested as part of the SPIW program. Part of an experimental helicopter mounted gun system perhaps?

It's definitely a tround. SALVO maybe?
