Given the hoopla of Deltahawk getting certi, question is that why didn't they simply resurrect the old Guiberson diesel, whose power/weight ratio is on par with the DH even without turbocharging and with 1930s technology, the design was certified back then and the engine performed very well in aircraft and tank installations. No need to reinvent the wheel.
 
If I may, the Guiberson A-1020 might be thought to be a tad bulky given its diameter of about 46 inches, whereas the DeltaHawk DH180 is about 24 inches wide and 22 inches high.
