Félix Wankel, of rotary engine fame, endeavoured on "gleitkufenboote" during WW2. the Zisch 42 is most famous, but I did not know the Zisch 39, an interesting prototype pictured here. The projected torpedo carrier is reminiscent of some K-Verband proposals. I recall a model of a "gleitkufenboot" in a Harald Fock`s book.

The image was taken from Richard Lakowski`s "Reiches-und Kriegsmarine Geheim 1919-1945".

I`m sorry, I`ve posted it in the wrong place. Can one of our moderators remove it to "Naval projects"?

I will try to post a bigger image.
