BEIJING --- China’s new killer robot ship that can carry out anti-submarine and anti-ship missions has undergone its first sea trial, according to a Chinese defence industry magazine.

Called the JARI, the unmanned surface vessel is said to be the world’s first USV with multiple roles – anti-submarine, air defence and surface combat – and powerful weaponry.

sferrin, I took the liberty of adding a few thread tags, hope you don't mind.

This is ridiculously advanced for the size of the vessel. If Chinese did everything right.. this gonna be, currently most advanced and more importantly combat unmanned vessel around. I can see this thing can deter amphibious or covert assault. Or should this proliferate into Iran.. future tanker war could be fought with this and their proxies in Yemen or Hezballah can now have something more than suicide boat to mount somewhat more survivable naval assault.

The curious thing is the air defense capability, having ESA radar means it can engage multiple target simultaneously, this thing could perhaps act as "Tor" in the sea, deterring cruise missile or PGM attacks.
