Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French announcing that Sud Aviation would join development of the Avions Marcel Dassault MD-415 A1 Communauté transport. It would have been based on the previous Avions Marcel Dassault MD-415 Communauté light transport (which had a secondary ground attack capability) prototype, but with a new larger fuselage seating up to 25 with three-abreast seating; it remained a "project"......
The article makes specific mention of "colonial" liaison routes in and to Francophone Africa, including routes like Paris-to-Port-Etienne, Algiers-to-Cotonou and Conakry-to-Brazzaville; but suggests that the MD-415 A1 Communauté would also be suitable for USA executive operations. I do not know if this is the same "project" which was known as the MD.415M Diplomate......
