While the built NC-510 is presented at http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,12658.msg135269.html
and the built NC-530 is also mentionned there, the rather different NC-540 and NC-550 are revealed in the Trait d'Union #214 (Mar-Apr 2004).
First, the NC-540 was a project (1938-39?) of reco three-seater aircraft with two Gnôme-Rhône engines and a retractable landing gear.

The NC-550 was also a project of reco three-seat aircraft, this one having two Gnôme-Rhône 14 N48/49 engines of 1,180hp. Span 15.5m, total weight 5,700kg, maximum speed 552km/h. 6 movable machine guns and two guns at the rear of the engine pods.

No data was included for the NC-540, sorry, but it seems a distant derivative between NC-510/530 and NC-550.
Thus maybe refer to : (510/530/550)
Span: 15.0/13.1/15.5m
Maximum weight: 3.8/5.1/5.7t
Maximum speed: 350/410/552km/h

Thanks , so watching NC-540 , i suppose the speed was near to 552 km/h of NC-550 some tens km/h less ! ::)

I guess you are right: the engines of the 540 seem smaller than the 550's.
Concerning codes, there is no relation to maximum speed (about 550km/h for the NC-550 seems a coincidence, as this 550 belongs to the line 510/520/530/540/550 the 510 reaching only 350km/h - and the NC-600: 542km/h - the NC-600 being the code for the H-220-2).

Hi,

here is some SNCAC NC.550 drawings,but I don't know if the last one

I think so, as the drawing is titled "Avant Projet", meaning pre-project and bears a strong
resemblance to the NC.550 .

BTW, could you tell us the source ?

Hi all
From an old"aviation magazine"
