Are (were) there any other known Soviet or Russian tiltwing/tiltrotor projects?
I only know of a Bratukhin design.
Cheers, Luedo

There is a smallish (~160kg TOW AFAIK) Yakovlev UAV as well.

Here you go, called Albatros. Weight is higher than I remembered though, 450kg:

Does anyone know how the Yakovlev Albatros is powered? What kind of engine is used? Turbine? Piston?
Is there any real change for Yakovlev to build the Albatros?

The Albatros has 160-hp engine. I think there is no turboprops with such a little power :) . So, I think, it's a piston engine.

Indeed, a 160 PS engine will probably be a piston engine. Does anybody know when Yakovlev designed the Albatros? Seems to be fairly recent.

My estimation is late 90s. However we should name it concept rather than project or real design. It is in the category "what we think we should build and can be usefull, if we have some money".

Oh, thanks for the information. I thought it had to be more recent...
Is there any hope that we will see more Russian VTOL-designs in the future?
