I think it's a McDonnell Doodlebug.

Ever felt sorry that there didn't seem to exist many photos of McDonnell's very first aircraft, the Doodlebug?

Here is a recap of all the McDonnell Doodlebug photos in the NASA archives.

"NACA 643" indicates the number given to the test facility, in this case the 7 X 10-Foot High Speed Tunnel.

Could a moderator rename this topic appropriately? Thanks.
