Reminds me of a story that dates back to the earliest days of regular trans-Atlantic flight. In it a BOAC captain is quoted as saying that he would not feel fully confident until the day in which the co-pilot would comment that 'Nº. 50 engine' had failed and he would turn to the co-pilot and respond 'Nº. 50 you say, which side?'...
 
I did chuckle when I saw that. I'd not heard the BOAC story, more familiar with the Henry Ford (?) story.
