here is a drawing to Caudron C.940,a low-wing twin engined transport postal monoplane
Project,powered by two 500 hp Renault 913 engines,but this design submitted for 1941
competition for postal aircraft,the only tender I suggest it was involved,the Air Couzinet
AC-103.

The Caudron C.55 was two-seat four engined attack Project version of C.53.

My dear Apophenia,

please correct this aircraft Project from Caudron list,and for C.540,it was anther project;

the C.540 was airplane Project,powered by one 170 hp 6 Pfi engine,maybe a light or racer aircraft,no more details are known.

Hi !

The drawing is interresting (and I knew it because I have the old Fana from 1984) but there is a difference of position of the canopy between upper view and side view, the twice seeming closed ... What is the good position ?.. The planned engine was'nt a Renault, but a double boxer four cylinders (8 "stagered" cylinders) Chaise which was never build (We guess it on the drawing).
