Rockwell International's design for an advanced RPV was presented to USAF in the form of a reduced model with see-through panels for display. The company's design concept vehicle was to be primarily ground-launched, using simplified conventional tricycle landing gear. Takeoff gross weight of about 7,500 lb. included payload of 2,000 lb. A single General Electric J85-GE-4A turbojet engine was to be mounted in a nacelle on top of the vehicle's aft body section.
