United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) or Obyedinyonnaya Aviastroitelnaya Korporatsiya (OAK) is a holding company that encompasses Irkut (which includes Beriev, Irkutsk Aviation Plant, Russian Avionics Design Bureau, IRKUT AviaSTEP Design Bureau and BETA AIR) Mikoyan, Sukhoi, Ilyushin, Tupolev, Beriev and Yakovlev. These manufacturers are currently subsidiaries of UAC.

Like the United States aviation industry has gone through mergers and acquisitions, will the Russian aviation industry undergo similar consolidation? Will some names in Russian aviation disappear or be merged? Could future Russian aircraft appear under the United Aircraft Corporation banner rather than Tupolev, Mikoyan, Yakolev etc.?
