So... Has the UN finally admitted its useless and decided to just give NK something to make it happy, and desiring some irony, gave it the Disarmament Conference leadership?!? :

Oh boy... I can't wait to see what they do now. Ask for sanctions against the West?! XD

Given who gets seats on the Human Rights council these days, it's entirely consistent.

Maybe its like when you have a drug user warning children how bad using drugs is.....or.....they can take tours of North Korea and they can show other members of the UN, "OK so here's how we hid our nuclear program, chemical weapons program, how we gave missile tech to Iran".

A couple of days to go in NK's chairmanship still and then we can take stock of their "disarmament accomplishments". I'd venture to guess they've found the responsibilities "... ronery, so ronery". There's some irony though, in professing the uselessness of the UN as that's pretty much in alignment with the ideology of Kim Jong Il and his cohorts. Cynicism and a well developed sense of the absurd are as surely parts of a rounded judgement as are idealism and realism. But forsake either end of the balance and you'll find yourself in a curiously similar position; or in other words, that's a choice reduced to juche or douche.
