From Flying 1956-6;

Usaf CHIEF OF STATE , General Nathan F.
Twining personally congratulates
Kenneth E. Gehrke of Cleveland, Ohio,
for winning the 1955 contest for airplane
models of original design. Sponsored by
the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, this
annual contest is open to all school
youngsters in Ohio. Young Gehrke’s
model is of a futuristic transport plane,
with combination turbo-jet and ram-jet
power. Of fiberglass construction its
speed was estimated at 2,000 mph and up,
at 100,000 ft. altitude.
