Tintin "On a marché sur la lune"- Lunar Rocket-3

Fantastic Work, Justo

A question and Suggestion

Do i see right this is Nuclear rocket that heat water into high thrust Steam ?

There is interesting variation of Nuclear Salt water Rocket by William Mook
it use Water salted with Lithium-6 Deuteride (same ratio like Seawater)
That mixture is pump true a The High Flux Isotope Reactor with high neutrons output.
Here the Lithium-6 Deuteride undergoes fission and heat the Water to Steam
But with 4,700 km/sec exhaust speed with extreme thrust !

The Engine can provide 1gee acceleration and get it in 3,75 hours to moon
From radioactivity is "less" dangerous as NERVA or Gas-Core engine, but keep a big safety distance to that Rocket after landing....

Water heating to steam then cracking into Hydrogen and oxygen that is nuclear heated !

The earlier NTP studies looked into use of Waters as reaction mass for NERVA type engines
i recollected vague on concept were Hydrogen and oxygen was nuclear heated before combustion or as afterburner
