It might be fun to expand this thread, or start a new one, on both real aircraft and projects designed to use parts salvaged from other planes. For example, the Bennet PL-11 Airtruck (predecessor to the Transavia PL-12 Airtruk of Mad Max movie fame) was designed to reuse the entire firewall forward package and other components from war-surplus RNZAF North American Harvard trainers.
