The whole story started with a picture posted in 2017 on social media that shows a new military drone that China has built. The unnamed device, which is said to be a torpedo bomber, is capable of skimming the surface of the sea and conducting "deadly attacks" against warships, says a post on Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter.(https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...aims-China-s-new-powerful-military-drone.html).
In addition, the drone could avoid radar detection because it can fly at an extremely low altitude over the waters, according to the Chinese news site Sina.(https://mil.sina.cn/sd/2017-05-04/detail-ifyeychk7005128.d.html?vt=4&HTTPS=1). Developed by defence prime China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation’s (CASC’s) China Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics (CAAA) subsidiary, the system has been given the product designation of CH-T1. CHI ", The weapon, called "ground effect unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), carried a designation" CHI ", which is usually associated with the Cai Hong (Rainbow) family of drones of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The new drone that uses ground effect technology to skim the surface of the ocean, allowing it to fly just eighteen inches above the water. The forward segment of the 5.8 m long GEUAV demonstrator is shaped like a conventional missile, with a cylindrical fuselage capped by an ogival nosecone where the radar seeker is located. Towards the rear is an unconventionally designed main body featuring two thick, long chord but short-span stubby wing structures running along the sides of its belly that combine to form a continuous wing-like undersurface. Two small outer wings can be found at the front of the main stub wings, along with upwards cranked V-tailfins at the rear that have an overall span of 3.8 m. Its maximum take-off weight (MTOW) is 3,000 kilograms and it can carry a 1,000 kg load. Rainbow T1 amphibious ground effect weapon. At present, this weapon is unique in China. It is the first and only amphibious surface, underwater and air weapon. This artificial intelligence weapon that can be judged and switched freely between three modes and three speeds. When attacking a target, it dives into the water in the initial stage, silently submerges in a silent posture, and slowly approaches the target. In the intermediate stage, it jumps out of the water and flies close to the surface of the water between 1 and 5 meters. The altitude rapidly approaches the target, and at the end of the journey, rises into the air, hitting the target at a very high speed, difficult to detect ( a ship's radar at 30 feet above sea level could detect an incoming missile at 15.4 miles. But the same radar would only detect the Chinese drone at 9.48 miles. A drone flying that close to the ground won't be flying supersonic, and by appearances the UAV has a turbofan engine. Assuming a speed of 600 miles an hour, typical for subsonic anti -ship missiles, an enemy ship would have 59 seconds to react. -Popular Mechanics reported-(https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/weapons/a26382/china-sea-skimming-anti-ship-drone/ ),- and when it encounters an enemy torpedo attack, it jumps out of the water, and when it encounters an enemy missile intercept, it becomes a very high-speed missile. It is a composite attack weapon suitable for various operations, land, naval and air. There are variants, the basic model weighs about three tons, has a speed of 800 kilometers per hour and a range of about 1,500 kilometers. The ground effect series of drones, which can penetrate the radar blind spot at very low flight altitude. The trail left in the water makes it undetectable by enemy sonars. Its speed is 10 times faster than that of ordinary ships, which gives it excellent concealment and a rapid assault. According to the data, it can carry different types of torpedoes and missiles weighing about one ton. It can attack enemy ships and coastal targets in several directions and locations. It is the best weapon to attack enemy aircraft carriers. Ground effect drones as a new method have never been used by the armed forces of any country in the world, and they have unexpected effects. It has become a powerful anti-ship weapon by its combat capability, its very powerful anti-ship performance. A single piece is enough to sink a large surface ship of 10,000 tons, causing heavy damage or loss in an instant.
It is reported that it is ready for mass production and the first batches would equip naval destroyers and frigate units. Its design objective is to attack large-scale surface targets, long-range fast torpedo attacks and blockade of sea areas." It is both an unmanned aircraft and a torpedo that can be precisely maneuvered after launch.(https://min.news/en/military e20b95ba0677cd1c36211cca4b02ef60.html)- (https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zo...rface-skimming-anti-ship-drone-missile-hybrid)

Objective presentation in relation to the subject, because you quote directly the links of the articles which make a praise of this uav, certainly china is interested since the sixties in the russian ground-effect technology but since tyen wath did it improve in this field,me i do not know, but for this uav,i would like to now the opinion of experts in chinese uav or if there are other articles of critical approaches,it would be better.

I think the CONOPS is a bit ambitious...flying a small turbojet engine and then shutting it off, dunking it in water, then re-lighting it and flying again is something DARPA might try. But the operational advantage is dubious at best...does it warrant solving these problems?

Agreed, that CONOPS is very ambitious. Though a 1000kg payload might allow for a full size heavyweight torpedo along the lines of a Mk37 sized unit, in addition to whatever warhead they fit onto this thing.
