There allot Specualtion about new "Batcopter" in The Dark Knight Rise

now is got a name The Bat and is a VTOL Platform !

it got two turbojet engine in arms,
There exhaust are let over the arms to underside of The Bat
were deflected by ribs downwards, on top side of Bat are perforated sheet-metal air flow diffuso
who increase the thrust of two turbo jet engine
and additional turbojet engine in rear to move forward

nice Movie prop but would it fly, if build ?

Looks more like a flying lobster than a bat. Maybe it's got swing wings which make it more bat like? It's not very aerodynamic either!

Looking forward to the film anyway.

Any idea as to how it's meant to hover? The only engines that are really noticeable are those pods up front, although I'd guess that the breaks between the panels on the underbelly are perhaps vents for some engine. Either way though, with enough processing power and thrust you can make anything* fly.

Pardon the late reply, I just found this thread.

The DeAgostini model I have uses intermeshing pusher rotors under the "turtleback". The Bat balances on top of the rotors, instead of hanging below the rotor(s) like a conventional helicopter.
