Hi,

there was also two projects,TK-1 & TK-2 transport aircraft.

there was also two projects,TK-1 & TK-2 transport aircraft.

Terada TK-1 (Project) 1938 single-engined 2-seater (poss. tricycle?)
- TK-1: Proceeded to wind tunnel tests and mockup propeller tests

Terada TK-2 (Project) 1938 single-engined high-speed test aircraft
- TK-2: Single-seat research a/c; design process completed; no built

AFAIK, both TK-1 and TK-2 were designed by Kozo Masuura. Neither design seems to have anything in common with the built TK-3 other than place of origin and designer.

BTW, that 'TK' designation prefix is just a contraction of Terada kōkū kenkyūjo (寺田航空研究所) or Terada Aviation Research Institute.
