Any estimated performance figures? What was the armament (almost looks like two ShKAS...)

Thanks!

The calculated data are not known.
To arm has different information,
V. Proklov's (director of the museum Sukhoi Design Bureau) in the "Planes of the world" № 2, 2001 wrote: "Armament consisted of three 23-mm cannons. A was placed (in the sleeve)in the bush of propeller, the other two - in the wing." Probably 'VYa'
According to Gordon /OKB Sukhoi A history of the design bureauand its aircraft/ the following information: "Gun armament of the fighter consisted of two wing - mounted 12.7 mm (.50 cal) UBS machine guns and single 20 mm cannon."

The drawing for this one, SINGLE-SEAT FIGHTER POWERED BY TWO M-107 ENGINES, looks to be dated 1944. Is it a continuation of a 1940 design? IMHO, it looks more like a late WWII design than an early WWII design.

Hi!

"In late November 1942 the design year were single twin-engine fighter very original schema. Two air-cooled engine m-92 (design takeoff power 2200 HP) were located in the fuselage and through the ad hoc transfer of result in rotating screws located on the wing. By the end of 1942, all work on the project ceased."

http://www.k2x2.info/transport_i_aviacija/aviacija_i_kosmonavtika_2010_08/p6.php

You can see engine cooling air intake located at the wing leading edge and engine cooling air outlet located at the fuselage.
Also you can see single seat cockpit, extended propeller drive shaft and twin vertical tail stabilizer.
I can't find front view and side view of this design.

"Turbochargers were located inside the fuselage, on both sides of the engine. Exhaust gases from m-120 donors to TC, and the ones used in feed for vodoradiatorom. Provided for the extraction of gases in the vodoradiatora Canal, bypassing the TC. In addition, the exhaust pipes were shrouds, which blow in through vents in the frontal part of the wing with air purge outlet channel for vodoradiatorom. The flow of exhaust gases and blow air into the channel for water radiator or improve gas-air mixture and help create an additional reactive thrust."(Ejector?)

This radiator arragement looks like Bv p.208.03.

Pehaps. But it is also identical to the arrangement on the Sukhoi Su-1, which looks like this aircraft in many respects. The radiator arrangement is also conceptually similar to the arrangement used on the Il-2, although in the latter case air is taken in on top of the fuselage.

Thanks a lot. Very interesting layout. It's the first time for me to see such a design.

Hi!
Su-8.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_Su-8.

http://aviadejavu.ru/Site/Crafts/Craft20797.htm

DDBSh(or Su-8?) means twin-engine two-seat armored ground attack aircraft

SSTEAAA means single seat twin engine armored ground attack aircraft?

Twin engine fighter ⇒SSTEAAA ⇒DDBSh?

Hi!
http://alternathistory.com/ddbsh-su-8-samyi-luchshii-shturmovik-i-ego-bratya-sssr

"Chief Designer in the development of the fighter returned to nosovomu placing a block of Cannon and machine-gun armament. At the same time am-37 engines were replaced with more powerful am-38 with TK-3 turbochargers to improve characteristics of power plants."

These fighters were predecessors of Su-8?

Indirectly, we can say only one (of three) versions of the project "I. O. P." with the engine AM-37. He alone had internal bomb load, the rest was designed as a "clean" fighters.
... and offtopic... back to the three previous reply - you can also recall a couple of projects with a similar arrangement of the radiator

No, have not seen, I can confidently say that if these schemes are preserved, but neither V. Proklov nor anyone else in the press did not publish them. (tried to find its own reconstruction , side view, but he's probably on another computer)
