I don't think it is. Afterall, the Attacker used Spiteful wings, not Spitfire's and they were completely different, laminar flow ones. Its like suggesting at Shackleton is a Manchester(!). ::)

As the Attacker F.B.2 already carried this large ventral tank, maybe
it would have been better modified into a flying boat, than into a
floatplane ?
And by merging it with a retractable bottom, as was planned for the
Blackburn B.44 (Justo made an excellent drawing of this project), the
ventral intakes maybe could have been kept clear from spray.
A worthy contender to the SR.A/1 . :D
