Hi, i didn't find similar topic so here it goes.
Short intro - i'm developing a flight sim and am looking for tech data for some airframes. I'm not aiming at DCS-study-sim level, think of it more as some kind of simcade (with emphasis on the sim part).
My main focus at the moment is YF-23 and i found some articles and stuff [interviews with test pilots], i also found the "unclassified utility manual" for it, but for obvious reasons some parts of it are missing. My research has pointed me to AirForce Legends #220 by Paul Metz as a great source on the plane but somehow obtaining a copy (even a digital one) eludes me [I know there's one copy at amazon right now, but i'm not ready to pay $200 for something i can't evaluate]. Is more techdata available somewhere (and pictures of working ones, not the gutted museum examples)? Or maybe there is a bookstore i'm not able to find that has it in more reasonable price?
Similar story with F-117 and F-22. I found a bunch of books but again - evaluating their content is hard. In case of the nighthawk Haynes 'owners' manual looks promising, but is it worth it actually? On Raptor i haven't even started looking.
So instead of blindly looking around i decided to ask the experts. Are there solid reliable sources of info on those planes? I am aware most of their avionics are classified, but still maybe there is something i missed while looking for info.
PS. I don't wanna even think how i gonna find info on redfor - berkut for example
