I can see where you are coming from Malcolm.
It's a possibility.

Made a start on the 257.

I was wondering, if this had made a light fighter, what would have been the most likely armament and where would it have been housed/located?

I was thinking if not the rocket tubes as on the V4, then maybe a gun pod under each wing in a similar position?
Or am I barking up the wrong tree as usual ;) ?

Looking good! Can't wait to see this one finished. Oh, and congrats on the magnificent Junkers 'Stuka.'

Interesting Bill.
Did you find anything more re: digging?

I've done a bit more on the SK257. In progress.

Many thanks

Thanks Grey havoc and Bill.

Once I get one profile done, it's comparatively easy to do different versions.
It's a matter of changing the colour scheme layer(s), markings and adding or deleting hardware.
So I'll do one with the bombs and one stripped of armaments.

P :)

Speaking of schemes. I'm searching for apt markings.
Any suggestions to which units may have flown the 257 if it had made full production?

Many thanks
P :)

Jagdgeschwader 101 was one possibility.

Dos anyone have a good drawing or the specs on it.This all I can find on it.
An exploded view of the DB 603-powered SK V5 single-seat fighter which was to have employed o Skoda-Kouba-Banweise tubular-spar structure which offered both reduced weight and greater strength compared with orthodox spar structures. .

It doesn't look so different from the V-4, which evolved into the Sk 257...

The Skoda-Kauba V.5.

I modify the first post to contain all Skoda-Kauba aircraft.

Thanks hesham. I have temporarily merged all Skoda-Kauba related topics (there was a mix of projects in each of them) and later on we can split this one for the most prominent projects/prototypes.

Did some more merging from various threads that really covered similar or related types. Will split the SK 257 and V-4 later on.

A photo of the Skoda-Kauba Sk 257 which I haven't seen before in this topic:

Who knows how the original Skoda-Kauba flying bomb should look?

At least the V-1 without cockpit, but also without landing gear?
Is there anybody who has a drawing or something of the original project?
