In an otherwise gloomy Winter I did have to thank British Airways for painting some of its planes in heritage schemes. They brightened up a trip through Heathrow in December, especially the BOAC 747.
Perhaps the RAF could do the same thing?

I did enjoy those, especially the BEA Red Square.

At the same time, I was a bit disappointed that they did not put at least one of the widebody liveries on a 787 - what a 747 in those colours looks like isn't much of a revelation, they were as common as muck back in the day! IMHO part of the appeal of retrojets is seeing a modern type which was not around at the time wear a historical livery (BOAC would've suited the Dreamliner especially well, I think).
