PZL Fighter plane design. Poland,

W (according to [2] - in the end) 1936. To work on the perspective
Armed Fighter joined Eng. Kazimierz Korsak and Eng. Tadeusz
Tarczyński . They designed the plane outside the design office of the
State Aviation Works , while performing the duties of deputies of Dr.
Eng. Franciszek Misztal , the designer of the PZL-38 "Wolf" aircraft
program . (According to [3] - the project of an army fighter was
developed in 1936 or 1937).

The proposed fighter, built in a double-beam system with a central
nacelle and a pushing propeller, was to be powered by the PZL "Foka"
engine with an estimated power of 331-368 kW (450-500 HP). The
engine was to be located behind the pilot, thus giving him excellent conditions for observation ahead. In the front part of the hull gondola,
it was planned to place weapons consisting of 1 20mm cannon and 2 machine guns. Two fuselage beams extending from the wings were connected at their ends with a horizontal stabilizer. There were also
vertical stabilizers at the ends of the beams. The undercarriage with
the front wheel was to be completely retracted into the fuselage and
wings.

The fighter design developed by engineers Korsak and Tarczyński
probably had no designation or name. The plane was supposed to complement the PZL-38 "Wilk" fighter and was a competitor of the
PZL-50 "Jastrząb" (according to [3] - this project was considered as
an alternative to the fighter design in the classic design layout, later developed in the PZL-45 "Sokół" ) . The project has not been submitted
for implementation.

PZL Fighter plane Project Poland,

In 1939, an extremely original concept of a twin-engine pursuer (single-
seat?) Was presented to a competition by Eng. Kazimierz Korsak. In the
Korsak chaser, the engines were installed in the fuselage, while the
propellers were placed on the leading edges of the wings. The designation
of the preliminary design of this aircraft remains unknown, no further details
are available. From the available data, it appears that the pursuit preliminary design was selected for further development PZL-54.

It is possible that inż. Korsak prepared this design outside of PZL. That certainly was the case for the 1936 twin-boomed pusher fighter designed by Korsak and inż. Tadeusz Tarczyński. Inside the PZL design office, Kazimierz Korsak turned his attention to the PZL-45 Sokół project.

PZL Long-range reconnaissance aircraft Project. Poland,

In the summer of 1939, after the completion of work on the PZL-46 "Sum"
in the team of Eng. Stanisław Prauss, the development of a preliminary
design for a long-range reconnaissance aircraft was undertaken. It was
probably a distant evolution of the PZL-46 "Sum" reconnaissance bomber. Sketches and calculations were made by Eng. Tadeusz Sołtyk. Further work
was interrupted by the outbreak of World War II. Missing type number and name.

PZL Design for high-altitude reconnaissance or fighter and / or reconnaissance aircraft. Poland,

The project was developed in 1935 for an internal competition in PZL for
the design of a new formula fast liner plane. The constructor was Eng.
Vsevolod Yakimiuk. This project was submitted to the commission together
with the project of Jerzy Dąbrowski (later PZL-38 "Wilk"), which was rated higher. The reports contain the name "Żbik". It is not certain, however,
whether it referred to the project of Eng. Jakimiuk, or to an early project by
Jerzy Dąbrowski (later developed into PZL-38 "Wilk")? According to some sources, the name "Żbik" bore the PZL long-range maritime reconnaissance plane - the MDL long-range intelligence plane.

That would be inż. Wsiewołod Jakimiuk ... known as 'Jaki' Jakimiuk in Canada where he later led the design team for the DHC-1 Chipmunk and on initial design work for what became the DHC-2 Beaver.

PZL Long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft project. Poland,

Young constructors from PZL: Eng. Tadeusz Sołtyk, eng. Kazimierz Korsak
and Eng. In 1936, on his own initiative, Tadeusz Tarczyński developed a preliminary design for a twin-engine (two-seater?) Reconnaissance aircraft intended for long-haul flights by MDL. It probably had the name PZL "Żbik".
The project was submitted to the Navy. The proposal was met with interest,
but it was not implemented. The constructors, who were then involved in
the development of the PZL planes: "Sum", "Sokół" and "Wilk" and "Lampart", did not return to their own design.

According to [2] - PZL "Żbik" remains a white spot. The author remembers
the modeling plans of this plane sold in several stores in Warsaw during the occupation. They presented a very streamlined low wing with two in-line engines and a double tail by an unknown designer. However, the authenticity
of the plans sold was often questionable. According to some sources, the
name "Żbik" bore the design of the high-altitude reconnaissance or fighter
(and / or reconnaissance) PZL plane - high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft
from 1935.

PZL-13 Passenger plane Project. Poland,

At the request of the Ministry of Communications, Eng. In mid-1930,
Stanisław Prauss began designing the PZL-13 light 6-seater communication aircraft at Państwowe Zakłady Lotnicze. Assembly drawings were developed
and a model for tunnel tests was made. The results of the tests were so encouraging that Jerzy Dąbrowski, in constructing his PZL-19 aircraft,
largely benefited from the results of the PZL-13.

In the spring of 1931, the Ministry of Communications withdrew from the project to which the Head of the Aeronautics Department of the Ministry of Military Affairs noticed. In the fall of 1932, Eng. Prauss started work on the project of a modern reconnaissance and bomber PZL-23 "Karaś".
