The President addressed the Nation that evening
"For more than two centuries our brothers and sisters in the North have suffered under the descendants of King George. Tonight I have ordered a special operation to make America whole again."
As dawn broke on the highway leading from the US border to Ottawa bemused looking Abrams and Bradley crews found the way blocked by smartly dressed RCMP officers with clipboards and neatly parked patrol cars. Civilians crowded round, some carrying photos of King Charles, others handing out coffee and snacks to the crews.
Telling people their country does not exist is a sure way to be made to look foolish.
