I did a search and I didn't see anyone linking to this resource...

The Navy has PDF scans of all the back issues of Naval Aviation News online here: http://www.history.navy.mil/nan/backissues/newbackissues.htm

Unfortunately, they have not been OCR'ed and aren't searchable, but if if you know what issue you're looking for, it's there. Or if you just like looking through the old magazines (like I do!), then it's great!

Yeah, I did download a few some time ago... Some of them are really amazing, but it is just so frustrating not to have a detailed index to know where to find what among the several decades of magazines that are available!
