Hi,

The Muniz Casmuniz 52 was a twin-engine light transport aircraft designed by
Antonio Muniz in Brazil. It was the first all-metal aircraft built in Brazil, only the
prototype was built.

A bit more ...

Muniz M-1, M-2, and M-5 were designed in France and date to 1927. One sources describes the M-1, M-2, M-3, and M-4 as "croquis" (sketches) but gives no other details.

The sole M-5 low-winged monoplane was built in Paris by Caudron (?? between 1928 and 1931 ??). The wooden M-5 was then dismantled and shipped to Rio de Janeiro where it was presented on 10 July 1931 at Campo dos Afonsos (now SBAF). The M-5 flew in Brazil until damaged in an accident in 1934.

Span: 12 m, Length: 7.10 m, Max Speed: 205 km/h Max Cruise: 175 km/h, Endurance: 4.5 hours
Powerplant: 1 x 100 hp Hispano Suiza (?? HS 6O ??), Weight: 900 kg

Muniz M-6 - Essentially the M-5 revised for steel-tube construction.

Muniz M-7 - First flew in Oct 1935.

Muniz M-8 - 1x 100 hp DH Gipsy (anyone know what the M-6 powerplant was?)

Muniz M-11 - June 1940 high-wing cabin monoplane, 1 x Continental A65
- M-11: Built as CNNA HL-1 in 1942, Piper Cub clone

Thanks LAW: So sources saying that the Muniz M-11 led to (or was the same as) the CNNA HL-1 are completely in error .
