I have been looking at this small information about Me P.1079 13b. And I am adding picture below, the source is unknown. There is also an 3D model version of Me P.1079 13b that would show you how would Me P.1079 13b look like can be found at http://www.luft46.com/jgart/jg795.html, thank to excellent work of Jozef Gatial.

After looking at this design, theoretically, this aircraft would be great for fillfulling a role as short ranged defender fighter that would defend airspace against an Allied bombing campaign. What do you people think about this aircraft design?

This is the first time I have seen or heard of this design
This Me P.1079 13bis very impressive for a 1941 design.
Even had swept wings in 1941!
From an operational and pilot (I’m no pilot by the way!!) prospective, you would have to feel a little safer with the trolley take off arrangement using jet engines, instead of the rocket and volatile fuel of the Me-163 Comet!

Regards
Pioneer

Not sure, but from an aerodynamical point of view, the junction between the nacelles
and the wing/tailplane obviously is a nightmare. Obviously, no windtunnel testing has
been made with this design. ;)

Hello,

I found some draws (include 3views) on old pages of Mr. Gatial
