The guy that is selling this has a lot of other interesting report/documents but its a little pricey. If he drops his prices I may need to open my bank up and go for some of these.

I acquired this image years ago from Lockheed and its marked as the premier YF-94 except for lightning bolt on its nose and triple red stripes on its rear. It looks more like a full-scale engineering mockup rather than an actual airplane. Can anyone shed some more light on this? -SP

This is probably 48-356. Built as a P-80C, converted to a TF-80C and then to the prototype YF-94A. First flight as YF-94A in April 1949. It later became a gate guardian, your photo may be from that time. According to Baugher's web site, it is still in storage at Edwards.

Not sure if this is the appropriate place but I came across an interesting snippet I wasn't previously aware of. The link below tells of the potential for license-production of the F-94C by Kawasaki (in addition to the T-33). The USAF's Far East Air Force selected the F-86D as it's interceptor and the JASDF ultimately followed suit but a fascinating possibility!
