Hello,
Do we have any info on these 2 tank? Maybe I don't know were to look but I can't find that much information on them:

for those who are interested in the model : https://www.scalemates.com/fr/kits/tiger-model-4629-leopard-ii-revolution-i--1025652

Revolution is an upgrade package for Leopard 2A4. I think what the model makers are calling Revolution II is a possibly fictional version of the same update with the L52 barrel.

Wondering were does the revolution II come from

Yeah, not sure of the Revolution vs Revolution II aspects but the basic Revolution upgrade packages are explained in the following:

Judging from model specs I found before, the only real difference seems to be the 120mm gun's barrel length. And I'm pretty sure that's an invention of the model makers; Rheinmetall hasn't shown a Revolution with an L55 barrel but it's kind of an obvious option.

Edit: I have found some sites suggesting that Rheinmetall has shown the Revolution with the L55 barrel and a few other differences. This is apparently what the Revolution II kit represents, though I don't believe Rheinmetall uses that designation.

I've been reading that the Army thought both the K2 and Leopard met the requirements and leaned towards the K2 due to being cheaper, but ultimately preferred the money being invested in other areas rather than tanks. But at the end of the day, strategic and economic concerns gave the win to the Leopard, as mentioned in the articles.

On the new 2A8, any chance of Germany going for the new KF51 (which seems to be borrow a lot from the Leopard 2), or is it just a tech demonstrator like the AbramsX?

Which Army?
Norway, which I believe is the only place that had the K2 and Leopard competing with each other

on a related note, it seems that the Abrams, K2 and the Leopard are the only western tanks still in production?
LeClerc, Challenger 2, and Ariete production completed some time ago.

And the Japanese Type 10 if you count the K2.

Not forgetting the Challenger 3 in there.......

Not forgetting the Challenger 3 in there.......

Challenger 3 will be refurbs of existing Challenger 2 chassis. The CH2 chassis itself is no longer in production.

Edit: Which may also be the same for Abrams, actually. It seems like all new deliveries are rebuilds of the insane number of M1A1s built in the Cold War.

word is that it got stuck with another tank on training ground and got its turret yanked

Polish Army reserve officer Pyotr Pavelka - about a tank broken by Ukrainians at the training ground: Ukrainian soldiers who are still training on the Polish Leopard 2A4 just drove into each other. Apparently, something went wrong, that one of the tanks drove another on the armor, and the one who drove on the armor crashed into the tower, tearing it out of the hull. Well, I'll be honest, I don't remember seeing such clumsy car control anywhere else.
The announced cash prize for the first destroyed Leopard can be received by a Ukrainian mechanic-driver
up to $120,000 apiece

That was the plan! Could change, if someone wanted the complete ch2’s for some reason.

Rheinmetall seems to have walked back their claim and the suit has been settled.

Leopard 2A4 with ASPIS-NG armor package from EODH, revealed during last month's DEFEA 2023 (although the general idea for the package itself on a turret cutout was revealed back in Eurosatory 2022). It includes both composite armor and double layer ERA fitted on the upper glacis, front third of the hull sides where the original composite skirts used to be, and entire front and side of the turret minus the bustle. Turret roof mounts 5 radar-activated anti-drone fragmentation mines. The bustle is protected by a complete slat cage as well as 3 more of the aforementioned anti-drone mines.

No such thing as an invulnerable system and there are folk paid to find vulnerabilities.

Probably on it's way to a base workshop to be refurbed.
eliminating bullet traps has been a thing for along time....ignoring the precept has consequences.

Shot traps, yep certainly have been a 'thing' for a long time. I usually get poo poo'd when I mention them but I still reckon they have relevance.
