Hi,

Mr. Jean Latham began construction a Levy flying boat in 1917/18 after formed Societe Latham & Cie,his first design was
H.5,it was a three engined (two tractor and one pusher) high seas biplane flying boat,powered by three 340 hp Panhard-
Levassor P1-12CB engines in 1918,the HB-5 was a civil derivative version of previous design,but powered by four 260 hp
Salmson 9Z engines in 1921,anther Project for this year,HB.3/I was a three engined flying boat,powered by three 350 hp Sumbeam engines.

For Schneider Trophy 1922/23,he created L-1 & L-2,they were a single seat biplane flying boats,powered by two tandem
400 hp Lorraine 12Db engines,also the C-1 was a biplane flying boat with a beautifully streamlined wooden hull of 1923,
and in HB.3 category,he built a three-seat bomber biplane flying boat,powered by one 300 hp Renault 12 Fe engine in 1925,the E-5 was a four engined recce biplane flying boat,with two tandem pairs of 400 hp Lorraine 12Db engines.

The Type-42 was a three-seat bomber biplane flying boat of 1924,powered by two 370 hp Lorraine 12 Da engines,the
Type-43 was developed from it,but powered by two 380 hp Gnome-Rhone 9A Jupiter engines,the Type-45 was intermediate design,based on 43,with some improvements and same engines,the most notable was Type-47,it was intended as long range transatlantic sesquiplane flying boat for bombing and recce,powered by two 500 hp Farman 12W engines,the Type-49 was a Project two tractive engines mounted between the two sesquiplane wings,equipped with a nose turret and a rear one.

The Type-230 was two-seat recce biplane,with single main float and two auxiliary wing tip floats of 1928,powered by one 230 hp Salmson 9Ab engine,the Type-110 was a three-seat high wing recce/observation monoplane flying boat,powered by one 650 hp Hispano-Suiza 12Nbr engine,1930/31,later developed by Amiot after amalgamating with it.

In Onera Archive,they mentioned Type-63,as a seaplane or flying boat Project of 1929 ?.

There was also the two Latham 47P (Postal variants powered by 500 hp HS 12Hbs instead of Farman 12We engines. Except a reduced crew of 3, I believe otherwise unchanged.

In Onera Archive,they mentioned Type-63,as a seaplane or flying boat Project of 1929 ?.

From TU 218,the Latham Type-63 was a three-seat recce and coast guard seaplane,with a high-
wing monoplane shape,and powered by one 650 hp pusher engine,mounted above the wing,
it remained a Project,but later developed with some improvements into Type-110.

The only way to determine which planes are mentioned in Latham articles is to look at their engine specs. First the 1918 3x340hp Panhard H.5 seaplane
