With possible ram propulsion according to the article and accompanying blurry launch photo.

They have close to zero naval opposition.

Hmmmm...you may want to have a look at the Egyptian and Turkish Navies not to mention those of Syria (still intact despite the civil war) as well as just about anyone else who comes into the Eastern Mediterranean or even surrounding areas.

In the video you never see the missile before the explosion and the debris doesn't seem to match a side strike. The video caption suggests a supersonic closing speed.

edit:
Well looking at the last few seconds again the missile does make a side strike. The initial explosion makes it seem that the main blast force hit the bow area from above.

Israel’s Navy conducted a successful test firing of surface-surface missiles from a Saar 5 corvette. The test included the launch of missile RGM-84 Harpoon and a new weapon, assumed to be an indigenous surface-to-surface missile developed for the Israel Navy by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). The blurred images shown on this video depict a missile longer and faster than the Harpoon, possibly driven by ram-air propulsion to achieve supersonic cruise and extended range

Not necesary. Those surface warships are easy fodder for the missiles Israel had had since the 1980's, and for its submarines as well. There's nil need for a new anti-ship missile. If anything, the Israeli navy needs to be concerned about defence against Yakhont-style missiles.

Besides, Turkey is a NATO member. Israel would be ill-advised to go to war with Turkey anyway and Turkey itself is still one of the more peaceful NATO countries.
Likewise, the Israeli navy would stand no chance if the Europeans were sometime determined to enact a naval blockade. Even Eilat wouldn't change this.

Uhm, wut? They need to worry about facing Yakhont-style missiles but they have no reason to do so by getting Yakhont-style missiles of their own? Wut?

And if Turkey were to suffer a regime change...

The way Turkey is now, you'd be a foolish person to bet on them staying rational.....Ankara seems to be continuously 5 minutes from going full retard the last few years.
