Too expensive for me due to post costs, but if anyone can purchase it, please let us know if that Martin VTOL Fighter was a true design ::)

Thanks in advance

Many Thanks

On of them looks like the X-19 and another a modification of the C-133.

I have that issue. It's just pure specualtive futuristic artwork. The issue doesn't actually have anything on that, it was just a bit of Martin artistry showing the flight deck of some distant-future aircraft carrier.

Thank you very much sferrin and orionblamblam.

That "C-133" variant looks like a Myasishchev VM-T

*Air Progress : NX-2 cover.

Nothing about the concept inside the mag.

*Air Progress Spring 1962.

Cover is not reflecting inside contents.
but on page 40&41 : five Douglas VTOL concepts.
Scetches only , no further info about the designs themselves.
(illustrations for an article "Soldiers in the Sky"

We should start a "buy lark a scanner" fund.

Only costs like £30 for a basic one ;)

On the other hand, let's spend our winter holidays in Belgium to check lark's archive - everybody comes with his own scanner (at the end one is for lark) ;D

Lark, where in Belgium?

Could have dropped a scanner off for you when I went to Bruges :)

Air Progress June 1967
Is the Boeing SST the answer to the AF's long-sought bomber to succeed its B-52?

Nice art :)

So what are they trying to say by having a Lockheed C-5 for the tanker? That the SST will be a gas guzzler and would NEED a C-5 for a tanker or that Boeing's KC-135 wouldn't be able to hack the job? ;)

What I have seen at Air Progress is that it was not a 100% rigorous mag. I don't know if ever existed a "KC-5" proposal. Anyone can confirm that event?. A C-5 unbuilt variants compilation sounds cool to start a new topic.
