Greetings and salutations.

There are loads of books on US Navy and British aircraft carriers but is there a definitive book on Japanese Navy carriers?
All comments and suggestions gratefully received!

Is there no equivalent to Friedman's Illustrated Design History series?

As yet there is no definitive book on Japanese aircraft carriers nor anything that approaches the works of Friedman on this topic, Unless it is only available in the Japanese language)

There is information out there but is is scattered through many publication. Some recommendations.

Japanese Aircraft Carriers and destroyers (Macdonald Publishing)
Warships of the Imperial Japanese navy 1869-1945,

There are major gaps in the historical records due to their destruction 1944-45 so it is likely that the complete story will never be written

Maybe it's time someone attempted the definitive book on Japanese aircraft carriers.
There must be a market for it.
