Recently, I came across this old Doug Rolfe drawing from a 1947 copy of Air Trails magazine and, although I've looked for more information on the aircraft, I haven't found anything. Are any of you folksm familiar with it?
Rolfe called it the Passe-Partout, claimed that it was from the later 1920s but all a Google gave me was some French-Canadian kids' show. Any data would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
John Braungart :-\

Probably stating the obvious but "passe-partout" means "goes anywhere". So, probably a description not a name or designation.

Thanks, I did not know this as my French is limited to "please", "thank you" and a few words that I heard used in traffic...... ::)
By the by, I found another copy of Rolfe's drawing, with a different description.

Thanks again,
John

It seems to be the " de Marçay Passepartout " built in 1921 in France . . it had an A.B.C. 10hp , span 5,5m , length 3,3m , loaded weight 180kg .

( from W.von Langsdorff's " Taschenbuch der Luftflotten " 1923 and 1924/5 )

Thanks to all who helped me put this drawing to bed. It's good to have another one filed.

Very interesting aircraft. Have you noticed how the date varies from 1919 to 1921 to the later 20s depending on the sources?

Bonjour Stephane,
If you go to "flightglobal.com" and look at the issue dated
january 15.1920 you could see my photo. as at the PARIS AERO SHOW 1919.

Hi,

we spoke here about one De Marcay aircraft, and we can also talk about many De Marcay
aircraft and projects, instead off opening a new thread.

From my dear Tophe and TU issue 263;

the Type 3 was a single seat sesquiplane fighter, powered by one 300 hp Hispano-
Suiza radial engine, estimated speed of 275 km/h,remained a project only.
