i'm interesting by the "real first jet" of history.....i need some infos or pict about the retract system
can you help me please....i search on the web, but ever the sames pict and no details...

retractable, but remained fixed in its "down" position throughout its
flight trials"

Perhaps no answer to your question !
In a little film we could see the He 178 flying, landing gear deployed
and the compartment for retracted landing gear close with a plate; ?
