Hs.1200 series were Kingston air superiority fighter projects. Various engines were considered including Rolls-Royce RB.238, RB.340, RB.409. Studied from Aug 1975 to Jan 1977.
Hs.1202 series were Kingston CTOL designs for an air superiority fighter to AST.403 requirement. Powered by two RB.199s or single RB.431 (non-vectored Pegasus derivative). Studied from Jan 1975 to Dec 1978.
Hs.1207 series (P.159) were Brough designs for an air superiority fighter to AST.403 requirement, Studied from 1974 to 1976.
Size-wise, 1202-9 had 3m greater span and 1m greater length than the F-16.
Though the later 1202 designs do look like the F-16 their wing design is more similar to the Su-27 than the F-16, with greater aspect ratio and sweep-back.
