I knew the US built some, and tested them from B-29s, but have never heard of them being used over Vietnam. :eek:

Looks more like a Daisy Cutter than a Tall Boy...notice that the buried section doesn't taper in the back. But I'm not sure it's big enough around to be a Daisy Cutter either (and if it is an undetonated one, those jokers are sitting on a LOT of explosive).

Definitely NOT a "daisy cutter".
 
That's why I'm saying M121. It's got the matching ogive nose instead of the BLU-82's straight cone. The original M121 had a tail fin assembly but as you can see toward the end of the video, the fins were replaced with a parachute pack much like the later Daisy Cutter.

Here's one with the "daisy cutter" fuse extension but it's not the BLU-82

I can see it. Never heard of this device before.
