The Adele is marketed by a company called GIROS. They are currently marketing three types:
  • Adele autogyro. Designed to transport goods up to 140 kg to a distance of 160 km. More or less the demonstrator of the series.
  • GIROS-1 Farmer lightweight single-seat autogyro with an enclosed heated cabin. Cargo bay can be used for transportation of goods, and for the installation of special equipment or 150-liter tank for agricultural work.
  • GIROS-2 Eger two-seat autogyro. The device can be used for search and rescue, patrol, and environmental monitoring, aerial photography, as well as an air taxi for business class passengers. Includes possibility to install dual controls for piloting skills training. Maximum speed - 185 km/h range with commercial cargo of 110 kg - 410 km.
Construction of these gyroplanes is designed to meet the requirements of AP-27.

Besides these, GIROS is also marketing the Gerris hovercraft, a highly dynamic, light amphibious unit on an air cushion. It can be used for search and rescue, patrol, and environmental monitoring, as a special purpose vehicle. The device can also be used in extreme tourism or fast sports.

Looking at the images of the Adele, there appear to have been some substantial changes to the rotor hub and pylon area. From the link given in Jemiba's post above, it states that the initial method of rotor spin-up is hydraulic, but that this would be changed to mechanical in due course. Do we know which configuration is which?

Fairey Gyrodyne, anyone... ;D

cheers,
Robin.

After considerable Google-fu, I found the Adele maker's website "Russian Gyroplanes": http://www.gyros.su/index.php?action=prod All of the photos and videos on the site are watermarked with "www.giros.biz" but that was apparently their earlier website and does not work now.

The site makes no mention of the "Adele" name and only shows the Gyros-1 (Farmer) and Gyros-2 (Smartflier) autogiro along with the Gerris hovercraft. Only the illustrations are of what our thread refers to as the Farmer and all of the photos and videos are of the Adele.

A larger almost useable size version of the Adele 3 view in post #1. Anyone know of a larger version?
