Portree is shooting down his other Blogs
Portreeland, Robot Explorers, Beyond Apollo, and Almost as Good As Print.
because difficult to maintain 4 blog , raising a Child and working for NASA, on same time.

David SF Portree actually works for the US Geological Survey (USGS) in Flagstaff, AZ, not NASA. His job title is Manager, Regional Planetary Image Facility, Astrogeology Research Program/Center Outreach Coordinator. He's a really nice guy and maintains a library/archive of old NASA documentation. I requested information from him about the Integrated Manned Spaceflight Program.

Whichever, I've rarely seen such a documented guy when it comes to space programs!

so the actual stand on Giiik: is Offline and gone

but Beyond Apollo back online and has new stuff !

Cool Archibald

Let's try some internet cooking :)

First, "romance to reality" on google
http://www.marsinstitute.info/rd/faculty/dportree/rtr/

Of course the site is an empty shell since March 2006.

Internet archive

The part most fascinating: follow a website life across the years...
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.marsinstitute.info/rd/faculty/dportree/rtr/

Let's try February 6, 2006

Have good readings!

P.S

For anybody which closely followed D. F. Portree "Altair VI" blog, I'm seeking a January 2009 article called "space station Earth star".
It narrated how the name Freedom had been selected for the space station back in 1988. Above all, were alternate names rejected at the time. If anybody can help...
