As I heard,that was not the last co-operation between those
two companies ?.
 
@hesham I suggest a different name for this topic, because the VFW-614 was a product of the German partners in VFW-Fokker.
VFW-Fokker existed from 1968 until its sale to MBB in 1981, it was a joint venture of Vereinigte Flugtechnische Werke (VFW) and Fokker.
 
In 1979, a version of the VFW 614 with an extended fuselage was studied in collaboration with Gulfstream American. Designated GAC 616, the aircraft has a fuselage extended by 2m, its wings have a larger span and are fitted with fins at their ends, and its reactors are more powerful GE CF34s. Planned to accommodate up to 60 passengers, the project was ultimately abandoned.
