Hi all,
I'm curious about the German annual Fliegerkalender, which is often mentioned in this forum. I see that back issues can be found for very cheap, but I have difficulty finding an index for it. I obtained an old copy, and it looks like the magazine typically has one or two gems among many not so interesting articles.

I've started an index from the forum posts that I found. Could other members help me by showing the table of contents of back issues, or by giving more detail on the most interesting articles ?

Here is my index attempt:
- 1996:
-- Schwade design

- 1997:
-- Alfons Pitsch project

-- flying wing by Richard Vogt

Good reminder, thank you c460 !
Have attached the indexes of the Fliegerkalender 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2014, as those are
the ones I have on my own, but the others are readily available in the library here. Will try to get
the others bit by bit and add them here.

" The others are readily available in the library here. "
It would be great to see here the Udet/Rumpler project for a transatlantic aircraft , published in the 1992 Kalender !

Thanks

Richard

Will have a try, although maybe I put my head to high above the parapet, as I just noticed, that the city library
has the Fliegerkalender issues only from 1995 onwards. But I'll check other libraries, too.

Well, I've the indexes of six more issues of the Fliegerkalender .... and I beg your pardon !
Ive learned something, I principally knew before: If delegating a task, clear and unmistakable
orders should be given ! Someone of my family went to the library yesterday, so I asked for taking
copies of the indexes of all availale issues .... and I actually got those copies. But I hadn't thought
about fixing, which index belongs to which issue and it isn't easily reconisable. So, it took me quite a
while to search or the years and there I noticed, that often those original ndexes probably are to no
avail for those, not reading German and often not even for me ! "Kampfjet fürs 21. Jahrhundert" (fighter
for the 21st century) ? Which type s meant ? Don't know !
So, I actually will have to fetch those issues one by one and make an index on my own. Sorry, can take
quite a while ... :-\

Thank you for the scans. Yes I can see the problem, with many meaningless titles. :(

Got today two old issues in the library, for another one I still have to wait.
They actually are early examples of the current publication and not to be mistaken with the "Deutscher Flieger
kalender" which was the equivalent published in the GDR (interesting in its own !)
Sorry for the low quality due to the lready quite sad state, there's no loan and copying is forbidden, principally ALL
duplication, but taking photos is a kind of grey area, at least as long noone notices ...
To my opinion, really interesting themes are hard to find in those issues, many articles are devoted to flying models
(RC models still weren't standard then ! ), but needs are diferent, I think.
Think, I'll start maing a list mentioning the real themes, not just the titles, but this will take quite a while and can only
be done step-by-step.

Got the Fliegerkalender 1961 today and as a kind of pattern, I tried to make an english
index by myself:

Page
5 – 12 3. German Aviation Show
13 – 18 The German Airforce under construction
20 – 26 New Aircraft Types (in the German Airforce)
27 – 30 Lockheed F-104 Starfighter
31 – 41 The History Of A German World Record (flight time record 1910 !)
43 – 50 Pilot Training In The German Airforce
53 – 54 UHU Model Glider Contest
55 – 60 8. Gliding World Championship
67 -83 Balloon To The North Pole
85 – 95 “Prop Cleaner” (The story of the technical ground staff of the German Airforce)
96 – 98 The German Naval Aviation
99 – 112 Development Of Flight Engines
113 – 117 Drops Without Parachute (Accidents)
119 – 128 Some Basic Aerodynamics
129 – 138 The Lufthansa Aircraft Works
139 – 145 Not New At All (Inventions in Aviation)
146 – 152 Gliding Center Oertlinghausen/Germany
153 – 162 Junkers Heydays
163 – 165 Supersonic Boom
166 – 172 Airfreight Center Frankfurt
173 – 180 Acceptance Testing Of Motor Aircraft
181 – 187 German Army Aviation
188 – 198 Tethered Model Flying – An Exercise In Skill
198 The Development Of the German General Aviation
199 – 203 In Memoriam Heini Dittmar

You'll see, that those old issues seem to have much less "gems", than the newer ones. Nevertheless, I think, I'll
make indexes of other issues. If someone has one of it, wouldn't it be a good idea to try yourself ? ;)

Thank you, hadn't got that issue still yet .
Can you tell us, which one is the "schnellste Flugboot" (fastest flying boat), or the "Amphibium für den
Mehrzweckbereich" (multipurpose amphibium) ? The titles often used there are hard to assign to a type
or theme. ;)

The article "Das schnellste Flugboot der Welt (The worlds fastest flying boat)" is about the Martin P6M SeaMaster.
The article "Amphibium für den Mehrzweckbereich "(multipurpose amphibium)" is about the Berijew Be-200.

I'll write more about the other titles and their mentioned aircrafts during this week. :)

Thanks in advance ! I must admit, that I didn't proceed with this project still yet. But I still have
some issues by myself, maybe I'll carry on during the next weekend.
