Lark asked how a Merlin-powered DeHavilland DH.91 Albatross might have looked...

Here are two quick retouches of the well-known photo of Franklin with No 271. I raised the wing on one version (there doesn't look to be room for a bomb bay with original wing position). Both look like they need defensive armament (I added a BP Type C turret to the low-wing version).

All and all, glad they went with the Mosquito :D

Yes it is Christophe. There are probably better images out there of the Albatross in 'service dress', but I didn't find any through Google images.

BTW, Lark believes that the actual twin-engined Albatross concept would probably have had a canopy much like the original and a more '1939-ish' nose cap for the bomb-aimer. That makes good sense.
