Just happened to stumble across this interesting account of the use of the Ferranti Pegasus computer at Vickers and the ARL during the mid-1950s to solve various mathematical problems relating to aviation and naval technology.

The author Donald Kershaw, a Reader Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Lancaster, sadly died just before Christmas.
