Back in the 70s I bought a curious book with lovely drawings
of various designs for future shipping.
It seemed to have been translated from an
East German original.
I still have it buried somewhere in my book boxes but wondered whether anyone else had come across it.

I bought a remaindered copy years ago at WH Smiths. Great book - I don't remember the title. I too have buried it somewhere in a pile of books but now you've inspired me to hunt for it.

The original seems to be available in the Staatsbibliothek Berlin. If someone's interested, I would
try to get it there and make copies, or a full scan.

I have a copy of that somewhere. It is rather wonderful.
