Hi all,
not a project, but (I think) a very rare bird of the WWI, only built in 2 examples. The book "French Aircraft of the First World War" had no designation and only one pic. In L+K 2013 i have found a very good article with pics and drawing....

Coutant RMC.17 Data


Made in 1917 by the company shipbuilding Lake Geneva at Thonon-Les Bains.
Used from March 1918 to December 1918.
Most seaplanes Coutant be allocated to CAM Pallice, construction defects appear (15 mm difference
between the masts shack right and left.
At full load, it had difficulty taking off.
Pilots preferred the Donnet-Denhaud 200 hp and especially Georges Levy 280 hp engines. Many
Coutant remained in their crates without ever being assembled.

Wingspan: 18,20m.
Length: 11,06m.
Height: 3.5m.
Empty weight: 1200 kg.
Vehicle weight: 2100 kg.
Engine: Renault 280 hp Type 12fe, V12 52 ° Plan 1600 rev / min, gasoline consumption 76.8 kg / h
oil and 7.7 kg / h Displacement 22 liters Weight 360 kg, cooling water, 2 Zenith carburetors,
central exhaust.
Maximum Speed: 140 km / h.
Battery life: 3 hours.
Crew: 1 pilot, 1 observer in tandem.
Armament: 4 70kg bombs or two bombs of 150 kg, 1 Vickers machine gun or Lewis 7.7 mm (303 cal) as
before.
