Silly item really but sort-of flight-related. Today the BBC and other news media have been running stories about Churchill and UFO's. In particular, they've been claiming that newly-declassified documents suggest Churchill ordered the suppression of testimony from an RAF air-crew supposedly buzzed by a flying saucer during WW2. See:

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20100804/tuk-new-ufo-files-reveal-churchill-cover-dba1618.html

Details (like the kind of aircraft supposedly buzzed) seem to change from account to account, but I think the best bit is this quote:
"Mr Churchill is reported to have made a declaration to the effect, 'This event should be immediately classified since it would create mass panic among the general population and destroy one's belief in the Church.'" Source: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18/20100805/tuk-churchill-banned-ufo-report-to-avoid-a7ad41d.html
However, it is also being claimed that "A trawl of documents revealed no existing record of the encounter." Source:

For at least the next month or so, the latest batch of U.K. government declassified UFO files can be found at:

Read Cosmic Crashe’s by Nick Redfern, first chapter is about that…and Lord Mountbatten and his relationship with a US reporter Dorothy Killgallen , whom later found passed away in mystery circumstances …drained 7n bath.

She was on about how a member of the Royal Family knew or inv9lved in a certain recovered craft on us shores end of Ww2 that was strapped to a B-17 and flown to Wright Pat.

Not sure if the murder of the viceroy at the hands of the IRA was implied connection to the post war incident.

cheers
